Zach Hepburn is one of our newest members of the team, joining us back in July this year when he came on board as an Assistant Transport Manager.
As part of his daily responsibilities, Zach assists the Group Fleet Manager, Kevin Bogira in maintaining all Operator Licence undertakings. His duties range from checking our vehicles are taxed and have valid MOTs to putting together the monthly service schedules for our fleet and plant. Zach also helps to monitor drivers' hours and working time directives as well as liaising with the Workshop and Transport departments to check vehicle availability for projects. Ultimately, making sure our vehicles and drivers are compliant with the laws and that we continue working at FORS standards.
When we asked Zach about what he most enjoys about working at B&A Group, he answered: "What I like most about being at B&A is the friendly atmosphere. Nobody is ever too busy to stop what they're doing and offer you a helping hand. This goes from the ladies at Reception all the way to the Directors - everyone is approachable. I've worked at other companies and they don't have the feel of being a family-run business, which is what B&A does so well."
Outside of work, Zach likes to keep busy by playing football for his local club, Shirehampton FC most Saturdays. He also enjoys meeting up with his friends at Ashton Gate to watch Bristol City and is a big foodie, so always enjoys trying new places to eat in and around the city.
Taking a step back to see how much B&A has achieved in recent years, we asked Zach what he was most looking forward to. He said: "The company is growing and improving every year, so I'm excited to see what opportunities could arise in the future, not just on a personal level but for the Group as a whole."
