B&A Group is delighted to announce the promotion of Zach Hepburn to the role of Group Transport Manager. With the recent retirement of our Group Fleet Manager, Zach will be taking on a substantial portion of his responsibilities, ensuring the continued smooth operation and compliance of our transport and fleet management.
Zach Hepburn joined the B&A team in July 2022 as Assistant Transport Manager. In this time, he has demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, making significant contributions to our operations. Zach's promotion is a testament to his hard work and the trust we place in his capabilities.
In his new role as Group Transport Manager, Zach will be responsible for things such as:
Daily Vehicle Checks: Ensuring that drivers complete their daily pre-use check sheets, recording and rectifying any vehicle defects, including plant and machinery.
Driver Monitoring: Keeping a close eye on driver tachograph reports, ensuring compliance with working time regulations.
Driver Inductions and Training: Overseeing new driver inductions and organizing Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) training sessions.
FORS Compliance: Completing FORS online training and toolbox talks with drivers to maintain our FORS accreditation.
Maintenance Coordination: Arranging services for plant and machinery, and managing the ordering of necessary parts.
Vehicle Compliance: Ensuring all company vehicles are taxed and have valid MOTs.
Fuel Management: Ordering fuel and AdBlue for the yard, and compiling monthly fuel reports.
Subcontractor Audits: Conducting audits on our subcontractors to ensure they meet our standards.
Zach recently earned his CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence), enhancing his expertise and aligning with our commitment to maintaining the highest standards in transport management.
In his previous role as Assistant Transport Manager, Zach worked closely with our Fleet Manager, assisting in maintaining Operator Licence undertakings and managing vehicle compliance. His efforts ensured our fleet and drivers met all legal requirements and upheld FORS standards.
